In the last few months we have built 2 houses for Homes of Hope, have been helping a church build a roof, and we built a house for an elderly couple. The women has a sickness that has left her disabled.
Coming Months
In the coming months, we will build 6 homes. However, it’s not just building a home but showing to these people that there is a God who loves them and takes care of them. Homes of Hope does not build house, but builds homes with a relationship with God. We are very happy to see what God is doing.
Thanks to your financial support and prayers, we are able to work with these people; not only when we demolish their old homes, but also when we make family visits, build the floor, and when we construct the house.

Homes of Hope. (June)
On Thursday, the 28th, we gave a new house to a family inCoronado. This couple is very young and have been married for four years. The couple had to live serperately because their 7 month old child had open heart surgery when he was one month old. Because of this, they had to have a very special place for the child and where they were living would not work. Therefore, the mother and the child lived with the grandmother; and the father lived with his family. It was very hard for this precious family to be separated.
Now, they are together in their new HOME!
March and April months of challenges and
wins
God gave us the strength
During
the month of March we constructed 6 homes. It was a great challenge for our
homes of hope team to complete them all in such a short period of time. We
worked from the moment we returned from the conference in Mexico, looking for 6
families that qualified, leveling the land, building the floors and buying
materials for all 6 houses. Glory to God that all turned out well. It was such
a blessing to build these homes with the help of God and the amazing teams.
Also this was the first time that I was not in charge of the construction for
all the homes. It was so satisfying to watch some of our staff take on the
responsibility of overseeing the construction of a couple of the houses.
Our Family
Anthony did the niko, this is a survival camp the objective is to raise leadership in boys
During this month of April we have gone through some real testing. Allison had an accident while playing at the base. She was cut by a broken bottle and we had to take her to the hospital where she received stitches. She is healing quickly and is almost back to normal.
Back home
After a great adventure is good to be back home.
It was an amazing experience, we left Costa Rica on January 21st to the conference in Tijuana starting on the 23rd ; in the mean time we were waiting for the permits of the new pickup truck the base have acquired, it was a long waiting, we finally left to Costa Rica on February 12 at 6pm driving during 9 days, hardly ever stopping to rest or eat, but at the end it was worthy, we arrived in Costa Rica on Feb.20th by 7pm.
This was almost a month out of my home Costa Rica.

Ready to work with Homes
of Hope
In the month on March we will have 6 homes to build.
The great adventure.
From the 23 to 27 of January we had a conference in Tijuana International house of hope where we met people from many different countries that are involved with this ministry.
This time we met and heard about their work and the miracles that God is doing, one of them was in Brazil. They went to a country near Indonesia which is 1000,000 people and built 10 houses and the president went to meet them. After meeting them he said he wanted to help his people have decent housing so he donated what was needed for 44,000 homes. Not only that but he gave them permission to continue doing discipleship and bringing in Bibles for the families. We have been invited as Homes of Hope Costa Rica to be part of what God is doing there.
Thanks to a donation Giavanny and I were privileged to attend with 3 others from our ministry team in Costa Rica. It was amazing to see God's faithfulness in one night the base took up a collection for the full amount needed for the plane tickets. My ticket was both ways but the others were one way, as we hoped to buy a pickup for Homes of Hope in the US and have the rest of the group drive back to Coast Rica.
God was faithful and gave us a very inexpensive truck for Giovanny, Rolando, Leigh, and Jose to drive from Mexico, the journey is long from Tijuana Mexico, (the U.S. border) to Costa Rica.
On Sunday February 12th they started on there adveture and should arrive in Costa Rica about 10 days later. Which is about 5 days from know.

Returning to class.
The kids went back to school on the 8th of Febuary.
This year is special for Anthony as he has started High school wich for those of you in the states is more like Junior high, but here they start in 6th grade and stay at the same school untill they graduate. He is starting school with a lot of hope and dreams, the very first day of gym class the coach told Anthony that he could be part of the soccer team at the school. He is super excited and it gives him a sence of belonging.
Allison is getting use to being at school with out her brother. She is super intelligent and even though she misses him she is doing very well.
We are very proud of our children and know that they know and fear God and that this year is going to be a sorce of great blessing in there lives.
